I've read that the LS3 likes less timing than an LS1 or SBC. Once you ascertain the idle, cruise & WOT timing (RPM & kPa), then you can blend between the three points in the Base Timing Table.
I dont know if Zorgane still does it but he used to include (upon request) compatability scripts for remodels if they needed it. I havent used Gnomefathers in a long time so I havent kept up with how he runs things now.
